Heavenly Hot Fudge Sauce
In just 20 minutes you'll have this tasty hot fudge sauce to top your favorite ice cream or dessert treat.
- 1/2 cup butter
- 4 oz. bitter (unsweetened) chocolate
- 3 cups sugar
- 1 can evaporated milk
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Melt butter in top of double boiler (or in microwave for 40 seconds adding more time until melted). Add chocolate to butter and blend. Add sugar, milk and salt and cook over low heat (still in double boiler) stirring frequently for 20 minutes. Let cool and pour into a jar with lid. This keeps well in a covered jar in the refrigerator.
