Mom’s Brownie Recipe
3/4 cup butter
1 1/2 cup sugar
3 squares melted unsweetened chocolate
1 cup + 2 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease & flour a 13″ x 9″ cake pan. Cream together butter, sugar & eggs. Add flour. Add melted chocolate. Pour into baking pan. Bake for 20-25 minutes.
Note if you mix in the chocolate before the flour the brownies will not be as moist. My Mom loved making this recipe and bringing it to family parties. I hope you enjoy it as much as we do. Lori’s Chocolate Buttercream Icing
1 small bag of powdered sugar
1 stick of softened butter
1 1/2 teaspoons real vanilla extract
¾ cup cocoa
a pinch of salt
2 tbsp. milk
Add powdered sugar, butter, vanilla, cocoa & salt together in a mixing bowl. Add milk. Mix together on medium to high speed until light & fluffy. Courtesy of Lori Fisk-Conners
