trends seminar February 10

A seminar focusing on the hottest interior design and home building trends is scheduled 10 a.m.-3 p.m. on Friday, February 10. Participants will be exposed to information about the newest design trends, textures, finishes, colors, and their uses.

Those who are planning to build a new home or remodel an existing home will benefit from the insights to be offered by a panel of experts who understand the array of decisions that home building or remodeling entail. The seminar will take place at the Middle Tennessee Home Builders Association (HBAMT) headquarters in Brentwood.

Those planning to sell their present home will also benefit from knowing what the experts believe will help sell a home, by adding value to the home without unnecessary expense.
The five-hour event will include plenty of time for questions and answers. Lunch is provided.

Sponsored by Cambria™ and Nashville House & Home & Garden Magazine, this is the second seminar of its kind in the area.
Cambria, established in 2000, is the only family-owned, American-made producer of natural stone surfaces and the premier source for the most-expansive quartz palette in the world.
Cambria surfaces are made of pure, natural quartz and feature unparalleled strength and durability—nonporous, scratch and stain-resistant, and maintenance free—featuring 133 designs across nine collections.

Participants will find out which are the most important areas in which to invest their building dollars when renovating a home to get the most return for their money. The experts will discuss where to splurge and where to save.

Panelists include Carol Bass of Addicted to Decorating and The Practical Decorator and Michelle Moore, host of “The Power of Real Estate” radio show and award-winning author.

Carol Bass
Carol Bass has been an instructor for 12 years. She owns and operates The Practical Decorator.

Bass’ practical, humorous and always entertaining approach to teaching professional classes in Redesign and Staging and One Day Decorating  have made her one of the most sought-after instructors in the industry today.

Her favorite mantra is “Dream Big Dreams, Small Dreams have no Magic.”  Bass loves to inspire others to find and fulfill their dreams.
Not surprisingly, Bass is a Dale Carnegie graduate and past member of Toastmasters. As an international instructor, speaker and facilitator for over 25 years, Carol has prepared and taught classes for adult schools, junior colleges, and corporations.

Host of the popular DIY program in Nashville  “Addicted To Decorating,” Bass understands that most clients love the things they have acquired and appreciate that she can help create a decorating plan that features them, not discard them. “My clients love the fact that I am a service driven designer, not a product driven one,” she says.
Bass is a master professional trainer in Redesign, Staging, and One Day Decorating, and is a certified color consultant.
