Potatoes Au Gratin

submitted by Linda Strickland 3-4 medium potatoes, peeled 1 cup heavy cream 1/2 cup milk 1 1/2 tsp. flour 1 large clove garlic, pressed 1/4 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. pepper 1 tsp. butter, softened 1 1/2 cups cheddar cheese, grated 1 tsp. parsley, chopped   Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Slice potatoes. Beat together cream, milk, flour, garlic, salt & pepper by hand until well combined. Coat the inside of a large baking dish with the softened butter. Chicken Casserole

Grandma’s Chicken Casserole 1  1/2 cups minute rice 2/3 cup sherry (or dry wine) 1 can cream of celery soup 1 can cream of mushroom soup 1 package of dry onion soup mix   Butter bottom of baking dish. Mix all ingredients together & spread over bottom of the pan. Place uncooked chicken pieces on top. Sprinkle dry onion soup mix over the top. Cover with foil. Bake at 350-degree oven for 1 1/2 hours.
