The Most Important Parts of Home that Need Deep Cleaning Every once in a while, everyone’s home requires a thorough cleaning. And this process is something many people underestimate. Remember; if you want to keep your home as hygienic as possible, you mustn’t forget to perform a detailed cleaning from time to time. With that in mind, we’ll go over a couple of areas you don’t want to forget about!
Deep Cleaning Your Kitchen Obviously, in terms of basic home hygiene – your kitchen is pretty important. That’s where all of your food is, and if you don’t keep it sanitary, you could end up dealing with all kinds of pests; from cockroach nests to other unsavory sights.
Don’t worry, though; if you manage to wipe your surfaces and wash the floors on a bi-weekly basis at the very least, you won’t have too much of a job once the time for deep cleaning comes. Here, you’ll want to focus on the less-often cleaned areas – like the cupboards and various kitchen appliances.
Firstly, make sure to clean your fridge completely; take all of the food out, and wipe all of the compartments and drawers with a damp piece of cloth. As for the cupboards, first, throw away any food that’s no longer good, and recycle all the glass, plastic and cardboard containers.
Once that’s done, mop and sweep your floors – but pull out any removable, and clean everything behind and underneath. Use some cleaning liquid on your kitchen stove, but make sure the liquid is adequate for the kind you have; most likely hot plate, glass, or ceramic.
Lastly, and we know how many people put this off: you will need to give your oven a thorough scrubbing and cleaning. You’ll probably need an oven cleaning fluid for this, but if you’re sensitive to stronger chemicals you can get fume-free ones.
Deep Cleaning Your Bathroom The second area in your home that will require the most attention during your deep cleaning session is the bathroom; another source of potential filthiness and grime, if you don’t maintain it properly. And while it represents the bane of household chores; it doesn’t have to be difficult if you do it correctly.
First of all, clean out all of your bathroom cupboards; there are bound to be a couple of products that are empty or out of date. Then, wipe all of the cupboards, and move onto washing the bathtub or shower. If you want to remove soap filth without strong chemicals, use baking soda and vinegar.
Go through all of the nooks and crannies where bacteria might build up over time; use bleach spray if you have to. Also, as hideous as it may seem; that toilet of yours will certainly require thorough cleaning with a strong disinfectant.
Once you’ve finished all of this, all that’s left is taking a scrubbing brush to all of your tiles; make sure there’s no mildew or mold left on the grouting by the time you’re done!
