Shopping Berry Hill 2012

Berry Hill is known for its array of treasures for the home decorator—everything from natural stone and furniture to cabinets, light fixtures, and home decor items.

 

On Eighth Avenue, start your trip at Norbert’s Home Decor, where you’ll find chairs, chests, wall art, and more, including the amazing array of bar stools for which Norbert’s is known. From traditional to edgy, if it’s home decor you’ll find it here.

Further down Eighth Avenue, under the 440 exchange, you’ll find Merridian, a home furnishings store featuring dark and light woods, upholstered pieces, leather, and more. The store’s new outdoor furnishings are very eye-catching.

Leaving the Merridian parking lot, take Berry Road across Eighth Avenue and the train tracks. A block later, turn right on Larmon where Jones Stone offers a range of stone and tile for projects ranging from fireplaces to patios.

Back on Berry Road proceed to the stop sign, turn left on Bransford and turn into the Traditions in Tile. Traditions in Tile features the latest in tile trends and something for every taste. Whether you’re seeking design help with natural stone, porcelain, or glass tile, Traditions has it.

A block further down Bransford, Daltile is on the right, Open only to customers shopping in conjunction with their builder or designer, Daltile features a range of natural and other tiles including rough, matte, gloss, and more, in a wide variety of colors.

Emser Tile is another block down Bransford on the left, and although it focuses on ceramic tile, marble, granite, and other natural stone tile, it also carries porcelain and glass tiles.

At this point, turn around and head south on Bransford Avenue for three or four blocks until you reach Manor on the right. Located in one of Berry Hill’s converted homes, Manor offers glassware, contemporary furnishings, vintage finds, and the list goes on.

Next door, Gilchrist & Gilchrist also focuses on the shabby chic look, and it is interspersed with small furnishings, vintage glassware, and more. Check out the newly stripped floors for your own Swedish farm house inspiration.

Proceed south to a left on Heather Place and   left again on Columbine. Your Home Enhanced is on the right. Vintage is the key word here, and you’ll find art, furnishings, gifts, as well and interior redesign and home staging services and advice..

Nearby on Berry Hill Drive you’ll find Hantel Kitchen & Bath near the end of the street. They have kitchens and baths on display, as well as cabinet door samples, tile, and more.

Back at Bransford, turn right on Melrose Avenue. Natural Stone & Tile Distributors on the right features a wide range of tile in the showroom, and also has a warehouse full of natural stone in a wide range of colors. They stock more than 150 different colors of stone including granite, marble, limestone, onyx, and slate.

Almost next door on Melrose, Central Woodworks offers doors, windows, and millwork of all descriptions.

Another block down Melrose, turn left to find Manoirs, a to-the-trade showroom featuring everything from lighting and art to furnishings and decorative accessories. The store represents product lines from the ultra high end to the more moderately priced. Fabric samples, rugs, and accessories are available, but only to those shopping with their own designers.

Next door lies Louisville Tile, home of tile of every description. A complete showroom remodel is underway so look for an exciting presentation of tile trends.

Turn right on Eugenia, traveling a few blocks to make a right turn on Thompson Lane. Just past the light on Sidco, turn left across the road to Tennessee Glass which offers inspiration for shower enclosures, closet shelving systems, mirrors, glass tabletops, and more.

Almost next door to the east is Italian Granite & Marble, which features more than 4,000 slabs of natural stone in over 160 colors.

A couple blocks further east lies The Hearth and Grill Shop, noted for its wide range of fireplaces and accessories, as well as fire pits, gas and charcoal grills, outdoor kitchens, and more.

Return to the stop light at Sidco and turn left. Mission Stone & Tile is on the left. An importer and distributor of natural stone and tile collections, the company’s showroom is a light, open space filled with samples to inspire custom designs.

Across the street from Mission Tile, you’ll find the Designers Gallery which recently moved from Powell Avenue. Entry to this space is only to those shopping with their designers. The bright space features furnishings, rugs, art, florals, wallpaper, and accessories, as well as lighting and fabric samples.

Proceed a couple of blocks to the Expo Design Center/Selection Center, which features appliances, cabinets, granite, fireplaces, window treatments and bedding, flooring, and more. You’ll also find a display of ornamental vent covers by Fancy Vents, home theater, and just about everything needed to plan a home.

Take Sidco south a block past the stop sign, to find Nashville Sash & Door on the left. Nashville Sash & Door, family-owned since 1926, offers a complete millwork inventory that includes windows, interior and exterior doors, moldings, hardware, shutters, columns, stair parts, and specialty millwork.

Turn left on Powell to Armory Oaks Drive. Turn right into Cenwood Appliance, home to high end appliances from a number of manufacturers for kitchen, laundry room, and patio.

Take Armory Oaks Drive to Powell Avenue. at GasLamp Antiques, which offers more than 150 booths of antique and vintage furnishings and accessories in its 25,000 square foot space.

Turn right on Powell and go a block to the Ferguson Showroom. Ferguson Bath, Kitchen & Lighting Gallery displays a large range of plumbing fixtures, lighting, and appliance displays.

While you’re here, visit Great Kitchens where you’ll find high end cabinetry and countertops as well as top notch design and installation services for kitchens and baths.

Across the parking lot is the Belgard Design Center, an excellent place to plan your next patio or retaining wall project.

Take Powell Avenue south to Sidco. Turn right to find Mr T’s Patio Furniture at Sidco’s intersection with Kenilwood.

Whether you’re looking for wood or cast aluminum patio furniture, outdoor fireplace, or rattan and other furnishings for a sunroom, you’ll find it on this two-acre site.

A block north on Kenilwood leads you to Closets & More on the right. Whether you’re looking for organization for your closets, pantry, home office, entertainment area, or garage, this is the place to stop.

Further down Kenilwood, the Berry Hill Home Center features natural stone vessel sinks, natural stone countertops, unusual bathroom vanities, and more.

As Kenilwood reaches its end, Nashville Granite & Marble showcases natural stone tile, granite, marble, soapstone, travertine slabs, and more for use in floors to kitchens and baths to fireplaces. The company also offers a selection of mosaic tiles and a complete selection of Kohler® sinks.

Back at Sidco, turn right and proceed to Nashville Pickers on the right. Here you’ll find some amazing collectibles ranging from a presidential round rug based on the U.S. flag to saddles and furnishings.

Across the parking lot, Steinway Piano Gallery of Nashville offers the highest quality pianos from around the world and a service-oriented team. Featured are Steinway Pianos, Boston Pianos, Essex Pianos, Kohler & Campbell Pianos, and Samwick Digital Pianos.

A block further south, ReCreations. Whether you are looking for a special piece, re-inventing a room, or furnishing a home, ReCreations furniture allows you to express your own personal style. Two floors (20,000 square feet) feature furnishings, faux florals, art, and home accessories, many resourced globally. You’ll find the finest grade woods, meticulously hand-carved detailing, sophisticated fabrics, and luxurious upholstery.

Across Sidco you’ll find English & Co., which offers a variety of consignment items ranging from furnishings and decorative pieces to drapery treatments and bedding. You’ll find antiques, collectibles, and oddities from all over the world. Please note, English & Co. is moving to 118 Powell Avenue, near Staples, on April 4.

Next door you’ll find Picture Frame Warehouse, which offers a variety of standard-size ready-made frames and over 1,500 different custom moldings including modern, rustic, antique and traditional. You’ll also find photo frames, beveled mirrors, and oil paintings in several different sizes.

Next door is The Fabric House, home to a large stock of decorator fabrics ranging from the latest colors and materials to outdoor fabrics and walls of decorative trim. Design consultants help customers design drapery and bedding treatments with complimentary in-store help. In-home consultations are also available.

Take Sidco to its end and left at the light onto Harding Place. Turn right on Trousdale Drive to find Second Chance Consignment, a charming shop featuring an eclectic mix of pre-loved vintage, antique, and quality used furniture. You’ll also find a wide assortment of unique accessories, home decor, original art, lamps, mirrors, china, and collectibles.
