This Modern Farmhouse constructed by Celebration Homes evokes feelings of warmth and comfort. It is a blend of an American Italianate and a Victorian Farmhouse without being fussy, a bit classic without being stark and sharp like a museum. It combines the sleek clean lines of contemporary design with cozy farmhouse aesthetic, a large wrap around front porch, creating the quintessential country living inspired home. The style is based on something that was never meant to be a style. We have created our own take and demonstrated that inspirations can come from anywhere.
The house is nestled amidst the rolling hills of Franklin, Tennessee and the quilted tapestry of the southern Williamson County verdant farmland and rural plains.  It sits on a distinct high visible corner on a secondary entrance of the neighborhood. The façade addresses both promenades, one side with the simple gable and the other with a piercing third-floor campanile. The wrap around porch unites both sides and defines this farmhouse. The engaged offset third car garage is treated as an auxiliary structure and painted barn red to replicate its rural roots. It was also important to consider the harmony of the home and land as a whole and the relationship between the rustic barns looming in the distance and the main house. Beginning with the exterior facade, attractively clad in lap siding, it fits in perfectly with the surrounding vernacular architecture. From the outside to the inside, aesthetically the home radiates with a rustic, comfortable vibe that is very appealing.
Designed to accommodate a lifestyle focused on putting down roots, this farmhouse is practical yet aesthetically pleasing, roomy yet cozy, classic yet endlessly fresh, distinctive, and built to last. Perhaps the most endearing aspect of this farmhouse is the nostalgia it inspires for a time when life was lived in close connection with nature, rather than technology. Plenty of windows draw in natural light throughout, helping to highlight and accentuate the home’s textures and materials. The front wrap around porch and the courtyard veranda, patio, and gardens extend the amount of time one can spend enjoying the fresh air.
The most alluring feature of this farmhouse is also the most fundamental: its inherent comfort, livability, and family-centered appeal. It accommodates modern family living by creating convenient, open floor plan with the Dining, Kitchen and Family Room all open to each other. The Kitchen features an exposed ceiling joist treatment with beadboard finish. The traditional centered foyer welcomes everyone to the home and it is open to the Dining Room with its coffered ceiling treatment. The Study across the Foyer is accessed with large 4 lite French Doors. There is a Guest Bedroom passed the Grand Foyer through a vestibule for privacy. The master suite is incorporated with luxurious closets, bathrooms, and views of the courtyard. On the Second Floor, there are two more additional bedrooms with a three-point entrance to a shared Jack and Jill Bath. Directly on top of the stairs, there is a Loft / Multi-Use room for the children or the adults. The third floor Campanile serves as an Art Studio or a Hobby Room with couple windows bringing plenty of natural light in that space.
