About the Cover:  Designers say warmth is coming back to homes who have been stripped down to gray and marble for several years. And this room certainly says it all, combing fabrics from Thibaut’s Greenwood collection with striped wallpaper and pillows that tie the room’s tones together.

  Four homes were featured in the recent Parade of Homes at the Sherwood Green Estates in Nolensville. Builders included Arnold Homes, Landmark Homes of Tennessee, and Regent Homes. Here are a few of our favorite images from the parade.

Holiday Home Tour at Kings’ Chapel, Arrington A Holiday Home Tour is scheduled December 4-6 and December 11-13 at Kings’ Chapel Community in Arrington. Featuring three decorated models and several additional homes available for sale will be at the heart of the event. Hours are from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Friday-Sunday. “We could think of no better way to welcome in the holiday season than to invite the Nashville community to come and see our beautiful model homes,” says Katrina Roberts, principal broker for the development. Nolensville Sherwood Green Estates Parade of Homes

  Nolensville’s Sherwood Green Estates is the site for Parade of Homes™ sponsored by the Home Builders Association of Middle Tennessee. Four homes built by three builders will be open for tours as part of the event. Parade builders are Arnold Homes, Landmark Homes of Tennessee, and Regent Homes. A sophisticated cottage, the Arnold Homes house features a courtyard entry, white painted brick, and an exposed brick fireplace. The great room showcases an exposed beam ceiling with an octagonal design and a stone fireplace. A dramatic two-story space graces the dining room and a dramatic Juliet balcony overlooks the area …

Parade of Ponds Promises Tranquility

East Nashville Parade of Ponds Promises Tranquility Aug. 1-2 The babbling of a brook, water splashing and gurgling as it flows over rocks—these are some of the most soothing and relaxing sounds in nature. It is the tranquility of ponds and water gardens that motivates many homeowners to add water features to their living space. Visitors can get a taste of this tranquility during the 2015 Parade of Ponds August 1-2, hosted by the Nashville Pond Society. Hours are from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on Saturday and from noon-5 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 if purchased on-site. …

Parade of Homes at Kings’ Chapel

  Parade of Homes Weaves Magic of Holidays Magical holiday events combined with a spectacular array of decorating and building ideas awaits as the Parade of Homes returned on December 6-21, 2014 to the beautiful Kings’ Chapel community in Arrington benefiting Make-A-Wish Middle Tennessee.
