Linden Row in Nashville’s historic Belmont Hillsboro Neighborhood

Creating progressive architecture and unique living spaces is a priority to Nashville-based architecture firm, The Bradley Projects. The firm sought to push the boundaries of upscale design when designing Linden Row, a collection of 38 single family style townhomes that provide tenants with modern and updated living at an affordable purchase point. Located in the historic Belmont Hillsboro neighborhood, these homes exemplify today’s contemporary living within a historic urban context. Linden Row reinterprets Nashville luxury living by combining open floor plans with expansive outdoor space. Just minutes from shopping, entertainment, and dining experiences, Linden Row is in the center of the action. Celebrating architecture as art, The Bradley Projects conceptualized Linden Row for those who appreciate and want to experience art every day. Residents are surrounded by a progressive, clean, healthy, and inspiring environment.

By balancing both the privacy of a home and the nature of its central location, Linden Row manages to offer residents the best of both worlds. The Bradley Projects worked alongside general contractor, Certified Construction Services, to create an architectural experience that starts from the first level of Linden Row all the way to the rooftop terraces. Each unit has two-car garages, three bedrooms, 3 1/2 baths, instantaneous hot water systems, elevators, Viking kitchen appliances, custom wood cabinets, walk-in pantries, modern glass-faced gas fireplaces, full master-suite amenities, and rooftop terraces. Additionally, landscaping and deep setbacks create a front-yard feel and a central courtyard for the inside units.

Natural light has been proven to increase occupant well being and comfort while providing mental and visual stimulation necessary to regulate human circadian rhythms. Additionally, natural light reduces the need for artificial light and provides substantial energy savings. Blurring the line between indoor and outdoor, The Bradley Projects incorporated natural light throughout each townhome in Linden Row. One of the key elements at Linden Row is its transparent nature. Even though there are continuous privacy walls separating units, The Bradley Projects were careful to open up the ends as much as possible, utilizing custom, large-format windows along all outward-facing facades. Specifically, on the third floor of every unit, a cathedral-like volume carries up to the upper roofline, with large format windows and an oversized skylight that draws light deeper into the space.

Linden Row is full of beautiful contrasts. It is a highly sophisticated way to live and fun and playful spatially. It is in the middle of the urban city, yet private at the same time. It is not in the center of the city’s noise but down the street from Nashville’s hustle and bustle. It is progressive and forward-thinking, yet appears to have been here for decades.
