Spring Sour Cream Pound Cake

Pound Cake is so easy to make. Takes just over 1 hour including baking time.


1/2 lb softened butter

2 cups sugar

1 cup sour cream

2 teaspoons vanilla or almond flavoring

3 cups cake flour

1/4 teaspoon baking soda

2 teaspoons baking powder

1 dash kosher salt

4 eggs

  1. Cream together 1/2 lb butter and 2 cups of sugar. Then add: sour cream, vanilla, cake flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.

    Beat for 2 minutes. Add 4 eggs (one at a time) and an additional 1/2 cup sour cream. Beat for another 2 minutes. Pour into an greased and floured bundt cake pan. Bake at 350 degrees F for 1/2 hour and then at 375 degrees F for another 1/2 hour.

To make glaze take a about a 1/2 cup of powdered sugar, mix with a little almond milk and a tiny pinch of salt. Whisk together until you get the right consistency adding alternating amounts of powdered sugar and milk.
Decorating with edible flowers for a festive spring look.
