submitted by Jolene Richardson 1 3/4 cup of sugar 1 heaping cup softsilk cake flour 2 cups egg whites, room temperature 1 tsp. salt 1 3/4 tsp. cream of tartar 2 tsp. vanilla 1 tsp. almond extract   Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Sift sugar and cake flour together 6 times. Beat egg whites, salt and cream of tartar stirring on edge as beating. Heath Bar Cake

1 box of Devil’s food cake mix 1 can of eagle brand condensed milk 1 jar of caramel ice cream topping 3 Heath candy bars 8 oz. container of cool whip   Bake the cake as directed in a 13 x 9 pan. While cake is still hot poke holes in the cake with a wooden spoon handle. Pour milk and caramel mixture over the entire cake.   Let it cool completely   Spread cool whip over the top of the cake and sprinkle with the broken pieces of the heath bars. Then let it set in refrigerator overnight. Enjoy!

Red Velvet Cake

1 1/2 cups sugar 2 eggs 2 tsp. cocoa powder 2 oz. red food coloring 2 1/2 cups sifted flour 1 tsp. salt 1 cup buttermilk 1 tsp. vanilla 1 1/2 tsp. vinegar 1 tsp. baking soda   Beat shortening, sugar & eggs for 10 minutes on high speed. Make a paste of the cocoa and food coloring. Blend throughly into creamed mixture. Mix salt into sifted flour. Add to batter alternately with butter, milk and vanilla, starting and ending with flour. Grandma Beth’s Coffee Cake

Benz (my Grandma) 1/2 cup butter 1-8oz pkg. philadelphia cream cheese 1 1/2 cup sugar 2 eggs 1 tsp. vanilla 2 cups sifted flour 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1/4 tsp. salt 1/4 cup milk 1 tsp. baking powder Garnish with fruit and nuts Cream butter, cheese, and sugar together until light and fluffy.
