Potato Corn Chowder

4 medium potatoes, cut into small pieces 3 cups of chicken broth 1 onion, chopped small package of frozen corn 3/4 cup of milk or cream 2 tablespoons of corn starch 2 tablespoons butter salt and pepper to taste 2 pieces cooked bacon (for garnish) 1 cup of shredded sharp cheddar cheese (for garnish) In large pot cook bacon until brown. Add onion and cook stirring until onion is almost browned. Add salt, and pepper and cook for 1 minut. Stir in chicken broth. Add potatoes and corn. Stir and simmer on medium heat. Homemade Cream of Chicken Soup

2 tablespoons butter 4 tablespoons flour 3  cups chicken broth 1 can pet milk, add 2 oz. of water to it salt and pepper to taste chopped chives or parsley 1/2 of a cooked chicken, shredded Melt butter in top of double boiler over direct heat, then stir in flour. Add chicken broth and milk slowly. Cook over boiling water while stirring constantly until smooth and thickened. Add chicken. Garnish with chives or parsley. Recipe courtesy of Meg Grave
