When the builder of the Nashville HGTV Smart home decided to mark its 30th anniversary, James Carbine, founder and president, wanted to skip the party and dedicate Carbine & Associates to building a charity home with a team of top Southeastern designers, tastemakers, and social media influencers.

Southern Living Showcase House Set Oct. 14-30 Scheduled from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. seven days a week, the Southern Living Showcase Home will be open October 14-30 at The Grove in College Grove, with several seminars scheduled as well. Hatcliff Builders has selected Nashville’s Mitchell Barnett of Mitchell Burnett Architects and Planners to create the design for the home, the fourth collaboration between the Middle Tennessee native and Hatcliff Builders, which has been constructing homes in Middle Tennessee for 28 years. This will be the 12th home designed by Mitchell Barnett Architect built in The Grove.

O’More Show House Open Through May 27 One of the nation’s leading interior design bloggers will be in Nashville for the opening of the O’More Show House, which is scheduled May 12-27 on West Main Street in downtown Franklin. Tina Yaraghi, the designer behind the hit blog The Enchanted Home, has been named this year’s honorary chair. Hours are 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Tues.-Sat., 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Thurs., noon-4 p.m. Sunday.
